I swore I would never get twitter, but after having to do it for this class, I'm loving it. I think if you could form a group to discuss different topics you could have great success using twitter as a PLN. What do you think? Any Drawbacks?
I just have a hard time with getting my ideas into 140 words without using all kinds of abbreviations and missing words. I am finding lack of professionalism in so many written communications I receive through texts and e-mails. It is one thing when contacting friends and family, but it is a different story when communicating with teachers and other professionals. I am finding my teacher prep. students do not know the difference!
The only drawback is that you certainly couldn't share in-depth thoughts. 140 characters is not very much when you are trying to make a point.
